Deyonta Davis

This was his sixth straight double-double, as the former Michigan State standout has developed into a consistent force in the paint for Santa Cruz this season. Davis is averaging 10.8 points and 7.9 rebounds in the G League, but he's been far hotter over the course of these last six games, averaging 19.3 points and 12.3 boards.

Though not much of a factor on the glass, Davis once again managed double figures offensively, this time by recording 13 points over 71.4 percent overall shooting. The Michigan State product through 12 starts in the G League is currently averaging 9.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per outing.

Davis was claimed off waivers by Houston in mid-June after being waived by Atlanta. It seems the Rockets have confidence in their center depth with Clint Capela, Tyson Chandler and Isaiah Hartenstein.

The three-year center will get another shot with an NBA squad after being cut loose by the Hawks on Monday. Davis averaged 4.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 68.2 percent from the field in nine games played last year with the Haws.
