Justin Allgaier

In this event last year, Allgaier led for nine laps before coming home with a sixth-place finish. Overall, the Illinois native has earned two top fives and six top 10s, including three in a row, at Michigan. Through 73 starts in his NXS career on tracks 2 miles or greater, Allgaier has amassed one win (Indianapolis â?? 2018), 18 top fives and 37 top 10s. With six races remaining in the regular season, Allgaier currently sits second in the NXS Playoff Grid, just 17 points off of the series lead.

He started 10th in the lineup, led four laps and completed all laps of the 62 run. He is currently 2nd in the NXS standings, 17 points points behind leader AJ Allmendinger (race winner of the Pennzoil 150 at The Brickyard).

Allgaier has previously visited Victory Lane at Indianapolis, earning the win in 2018 on the 2.5-mile oval. In 42 career starts in the NXS on road courses, Allgaier has recorded three wins (Montreal, Mid-Ohio and Road America), 12 top fives and 25 top 10s.

He started on the pole, led 22 laps and completed all laps of the 90 run. He is currently 2nd in the NXS standings, 16 points points behind leader AJ Allmendinger (finished 4th in the Explore the Pocono Mountains 225).
