White Sox promoted OF prospect Braden Montgomery to High-A Winston-Salem.
Montgomery was one of the key pieces coming to Chicago from Boston in the Garrett Crochet trade. He hit 304/.393/.493 with three homers, four doubles, and 19 RBIs in 18 games at Single-A Kannapolis before the White Sox decided to give him some stiffer competition. It would not be a surprise to see him climb to Double-A this season, which would give him an outside shot to debut in Chicago in 2026.

One of the centerpieces of the Garrett Crochet trade with Boston, Montgomery is off to a great start to his White Sox career, hitting .353/.415/.618 in nine games with two home runs, 13 RBI, and three steals. He was one of the more advanced hitters in the 2024 draft and could be a quick riser through the White Sox system.
