2024 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Imanaga posted a 3.18 ERA across eight seasons overseas, and his fastball and splitter will be above-average pitches in the MLB from Day 1. He'll need one of his tertiary offerings to become a legitimate third pitch, because it gets tough for two-pitch starters in the MLB. 

2024 Outlook: Walks shouldn't be a big issue for him, and if his splitter is a ground ball machine, he'll have no problem in his home park, even on the windiest of days. He'll be 31 this year, but he's an accomplished arm with a locked in role for a Cubs team that should score some runs. I'm a bit skeptical on just how his strikeout rate will be, but if his command holds true, he should help your team's ratios and win quite a few ball games. His ADP is creeping up, but the upside is there for the southpaw, making him an intriguing mid-rotation arm.
