2025 Player Outlook
Yamamoto had his first MLB season derailed by a shoulder injury that cost him nearly three months. When he was able to take the mound, Yamamoto posted a 3.00 ERA in 18 starts and flashed an impressive pitch arsenal that led to a 28.5 percent strikeout rate and 6.0 percent walk rate. It is easy to see why the Dodgers shelled out 325 million dollars to land the Japanese ace, and he could find himself in Cy Young contention if he is able to stay healthy this season.
