Brady Basso

Basso will be a relief option for Oakland in both contests of the twin billing. The A’s will then have the option to recall Basso from Triple-A Las Vegas, or he’ll remain off the active roster and report back to the Pacific Coast League.

Basso is heading back to Triple-A to likely make starts with Las Vegas and get stretched out to possibly join the Athletics at some point this summer. He made two scoreless relief appearances while with Oakland.

Basso had a brief stint with Oakland earlier this month and figures to operate in long relief out of Oakland’s bullpen.

Basso spent just one day with the A’s and didn’t get into the game. On the plus side, since he was recalled from Double-A, this is a better spot than he was in 36 hours ago.
