2025 Player Outlook
Jung logged 94 plate appearances at the MLB level last season, and while his 16 percent walk rate was very impressive, his 30.9 percent strikeout rate was a bit concerning. His overall quality of contact metrics were underwhelming, and he hit a ground ball half of the time, but we can't write him off because of an underwhelming first 30 games at the game's highest levels. He's displayed solid pop during his time in the minors, and a strong walk rate has followed at every level. Detroit may try to protect him a bit against left-handed pitching, but Jung is a great target in the later rounds of AL-only drafts where OBP is a scored category. A .345+ OBP and 12-16 home runs is very much in play for Jung in 2025.
