2025 Player Outlook
The signings of Blake Snell and Roki Sasaki, plus the return from injury for Tony Gonsolin and Dustin May, leave Bobby Miller in a competition for the final spot in the rotation. He has minor league options remaining, so there is a possibility he starts the season in Triple-A if he does not win a rotation job this spring.

Dodgers optioned RHP Bobby Miller to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Miller was going to head back to Oklahoma City even if he pitched well Wednesday, but it’s worth noting that the 26-year-old scuffled while allowing six runs in his start against the Rockies. The 26-year-old will likely get back at some point with Los Angeles in coming weeks/months, but for now he’ll head back to OKC with a corresponding move to be announced Friday.
Bobby Miller allowed six earned runs over three innings in a no-decision vs. the Rockies on Wednesday.
Miller was making his first start of the 2025 season, and it’s hard to fathom it went how he wanted it to. Fortunately for him and the fantasy managers who streamed him against the lowly Rockies, he received seven runs of support while he was in, so he wasn’t charged with a loss. He did strike out seven, but he allowed eight hits as well; two of those hits leaving the ballpark. The biggest blow was a grand slam by Michael Toglia, buth e pitched shakily — to put it nicely — for most of the contest. There’s no start scheduled, but if Miller does get another outing, it’ll likely come against the Cubs on Wednesday.
Dodgers recalled RHP Bobby Miller from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Miller will make his long-awaited season debut on Wednesday night against the Rockies. The 26-year-old former top pitching prospect offers some real intrigue for fantasy purposes if his stuff looks as potent as it did during the early stages of spring training before he was struck in the head by a line drive. He’s worthy of a speculative roster spot in deeper mixed leagues based on his immense raw talent alone.
Bobby Miller will start on Wednesday against the Rockies.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts made it official that Miller will make his season debut on Wednesday night in Los Angeles with a tasty matchup against a free-falling Colorado lineup. It’s an excellent spot for streaming purposes, especially if Miller looks like he did in the early stages of spring training before he was struck by a line-drive that derailed his ramp-up process. He’s at least worthy of a speculative pickup in deeper mixed leagues, even if it’s just a one-time spot start.
