Across 69 appearances for the Tigers in 2024, Foley recorded 28 saves with a 3.15 ERA, and 1.18 WHIP. His strikeout rate remained below 20 percent yet again, but his slider netted a .113 BAA and 32.4 percent whiff rate. Despite inducing fewer ground balls than years past, his HR/9 didn't balloon too much (0.75 HR/9 in 2024, 0.45 HR/9 for his career), and he'll be one of the primary ninth inning options for Detroit in 2025. Detroit has some other options as well, so Foley may have a difficult time replicating last year's 28 saves, and I also wouldn't be surprised if his ERA was closer to 4.00 than 3.00 in 2025.
