2025 Player Outlook

It may sound like a broken record saying "This Braves player had a rough 2024 because of injuries", but this is true once again for Michael Harris. We are now at two seasons in a row of drafting him high up and not getting the greatest results, but let's not forget he is still only 23. He has elite bat-speed and fantastic plate skills. With the ability to give you power and speed and a great batting average he is a guy that could easily take the jump up to first-round level production, but even if he doesn't do that as long as he stays healthy he should give you an easy 20-20 season with a high average on one of the best offenses in baseball.

Harris broke a 3-3 tie with a two-run double off Ryan Feltner. He’s up to 15 RBI on the season, and he’s now stolen six bases over Atlanta’s first 28 games. Harris hasn’t been great to begin 2025, but the hits are starting to fall again for the 24-year-old. He should be fine.

Michael Harris II singled three times and knocked in a run Wednesday against the Cardinals.

He wasn’t far off from a four-hit day; the one out he made was a 106-mph grounder that Alec Burleson made a nice play on at first. The three hits were all much softer, with the hardest being an 84-mph flare to the outfield. Harris was in the leadoff spot today because Alex Verdugo was resting, but he’ll probably be back hitting sixth on Friday.

Michael Harris II went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI in a 6-4 win over the Twins on Friday.

Harris completed the Braves four-run comeback with his two-run, game-tying single in the eighth inning off reliever Cole Sands and set-up Drake Baldwin to drive him in as the winning run. Few players have struggled as much as Harris out of the gate this season, so coming through like this in the clutch must come with a little bit of extra joy. Yet, he remains Atlanta’s lead-off hitter against right-handed pitchers and has been known to go on torrid hot streaks during his career. Maybe this big hit sets him off on his next one.
