Marlins recalled RHP Lake Bachar from Triple-A Jacksonville.
Bachar was claimed off waivers earlier this week from the Padres and will join Miami’s bullpen mix this weekend with several pitchers heading to the injured list.

Bachar was designated for assignment Sunday and the Marlins will give the 29-year-old a look in the organization.

Bachar will now be on the waiver wire. The move makes room for Elias Diaz, who had his contract selected from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

The 29-year-old Bachar didn’t pitch in his day with the Padres, so he’ll return to El Paso without having made his major league debut.
