Osvaldo Bido allowed eight runs with two strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a loss against the Rangers on Tuesday.
The Rangers put two runs on the board against Bido with a walk, two hits, and a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Wyatt Langford then took him deep for a solo homer to lead off the third inning. Josh Smith added a run with a solo shot in the fifth before Marcus Semien piled on with a three-run blast. The barrage continued into the sixth with Jake Burger adding a solo homer before Bido was relieved with one out at 91 pitches. The 29-year-old right-hander saw his ERA rise from 2.61 to 4.85 with a 1.58 WHIP and a 16/10 K/BB ratio across 26 innings. He’ll take on the White Sox in Sacramento on Sunday.
Osvaldo Bido gave up just one run over 5 2/3 innings while picking up a win over the White Sox on Wednesday.
Osvaldo Bido lost to the Padres after surrendering two runs in five innings Wednesday.
Bido surrendered nine hits, at least a couple of which really should have been handled by the A’s defense. He struck out five and walked none. The loss leaves him 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA. He’ll make for a nice streaming option when he takes on the White Sox in Chicago next week.
Osvaldo Bido pitched five innings of two-run ball in a no-decision against the Rockies on Friday.
Bido allowed six hits, walked two and struck out five on a challenging day in a windy and cold Coors Field. He’s been effective both times out, and he seems solid enough to rate as a streaming option at times. However, a home start against the Padres next week isn’t one of those times.
