Wallner has been out with a Grade 3 hamstring strain since April 15th. He has yet to swing a bat and will be re-evaluated by the Twins when they return home next week. We won’t have a firm timeline for Wallner’s return until he starts swinging, but it sounds like there’s a chance we don’t see him back until late May or early June.

As anticipated, Wallner lands on the injured list after injuring his hamstring during Tuesday’s ballgame. There’s still no word on the severity of the strain or how much time Wallner stands to miss. Jonah Bride — who was acquired from the Marlins — was added to the Twins’ roster in a corresponding move on Thursday.

No real surprise here after Wallner was lifted from Tuesday’s contest and underwent an MRI on Wednesday that revealed a left hamstring strain. No word yet on how much time he’s slated to miss, but fantasy managers should anticipate him missing at least a couple weeks, even if it’s a relatively mild strain. There should be some clarity on his status in the near future. His absence opens the door for DaShawn Keirsey Jr. to play regularly, but we can’t rule out the possibility the struggling Twins decide to call up top prospect Emmanuel Rodriguez to give them a spark.

This isn’t much of a surprise after both Wallner and Correa left Tuesday night’s game with injuries. Wallner said his hamstring injury doesn’t feel too serious and is not painful, “just tight"; however, that doesn’t mean he’s going to avoid a trip to the injured list. For Wednesday, DaShawn Keirsey Jr. will start in his place in right field and bat eighth.
