Toglia drove in both of the Rockies’ runs on Tuesday, starting with a solo homer off A.J. Smith-Shawver in the second inning. He plated the second run in the sixth inning on a groundout. The home run was his second in four games and third on the season to go with a .216/.257/.343 slash line across 109 plate appearances. A 37.6 percent strikeout rate has suppressed his batting average.

Toglia followed his three-hit game with a two-run homer in his first at-bat Saturday off Hunter Greene to put the Rockies on the board in the second inning. He later added a base hit in the sixth. The 26-year-old first baseman is hitting .220/.258/.330 with two homers, 11 RBI, and two steals across 97 plate appearances.

After the Brewers scratched out a run in the top half of the eighth inning to tie the game at 2-2, the Rockies came right back in their half of the frame as Ryan McMahon smacked a leadoff double and Sean Bouchard worked a walk. Toglia then crushed a Joel Payamps offering for a go-ahead RBI double, then he came around to score on a three-run double off the bat of Brenton Doyle. Toglia also singled twice in the contest, finishing the day 3-for-4. Hopefully this will finally get him going, as Toglia is hitting just .191/.240/.255 with zero homers, one RBI and one stolen base on the year.
