White Sox released RHP Parker Markel.
Markel made three relief appearances this season for the Athletics before being claimed off waivers by the White Sox back in early June. He was removed from Chicago's 40-man roster back in late July. The 32-year-old righty should be able to latch on somewhere this offseason on a minor league contract.

The 31-year-old righty has fired three scoreless innings with a 3/5 K/BB ratio across three appearances this season at the big-league level. There's a strong possibility that he passes through waivers unclaimed and remains with Oakland as organizational relief depth.
