While Kwan's stolen base total dipped last season, he still hit double-digits, and by the end of the season, he was running at a far better pace than he was shortly after his return from his trip to the IL. Kwan doesn't win with overwhelming hard contact, and he's posted a fifth percentile or worse barrel rate and hard-hit rate in each of the last three seasons. However, he makes a ton of contact, doesn't strikeout, and is a career .285 hitter across nearly 1,900 ABs. Kwan can likely get to 12-14 home runs again in 2025, but like we saw at the end of the season, he is going to run at a good clip, paving the way for 20+ stolen bases for the second time in his career. You'll need to pad your team's power with other picks, but Kwan will give your fantasy squad a good number of stolen bases and an excellent batting average.

Steven Kwan had a two-run homer, an RBI single and a walk as the Guardians topped the Orioles 6-3 on Tuesday.
That’s already three homers in 16 games for Kwan. He averages one every 17 games over the course of his career. His exit velocities aren’t really up at all, so the homers probably won’t keep coming like this. He has a better chance of batting .300 for the first time; he’s at .333 right now.

Steven Kwan went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and a pair of runs scored as the Guardians routed the Angels 14-2 in Cactus League play on Sunday afternoon.
It seems like all Kwan does is hit, and that was certainly the case in his Cactus League debut on Saturday. Kwan led off the game with a single off of Reid Detmers and scored the Guardians’ first run on an RBI double off the bat of Tyler Freeman. Kwan then clobbered a first-pitch fastball from Chase Silseth for a 399-foot (100.2 mph EV) solo shot in the third inning that extended the Guardians’ lead to 3-1. With his increased power output in 2024, the 27-year-old has developed into a strong four-category contributor for fantasy purposes, with his only major deficiency coming in RBI.
Guardians and OF Steven Kwan avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.175 million contract.
Kwan had been projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $4.3 million via arbitration, so if anything, it looks like the Guardians may have gotten a slight discount here. The 27-year-old outfielder had another very strong season in 2024 — slashing .292/.368/.425 with a career-high 14 homers, 44 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 122 games while winning his third consecutive Gold Glove Award.
