Phillies signed RHP Nabil Crismatt to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
It is the holiday season, after all. Crismatt bounced around quite a bit last season, spending time with the Dodgers, Rangers and Padres. The 29-year-old journeyman sipped a couple cups of coffee in Los Angeles, but wound up making only five early-season relief appearances for the eventual World Series champions. He’ll augment Philadelphia’s middle relief depth heading into next season.
Padres signed Nabil Crismatt to a minor league contract.
Crismatt had a 3.39 ERA in 148 2/3 innings out of the pen for the Padres between 2021 and ’22 before losing some velocity and his job last year. His velocity is back to normal now, though he’s still mostly throwing 89-92 mph, and he allowed two runs in seven innings for the Dodgers earlier this season.
Rangers release Nabil Crismatt.
Crismatt made five relief appearances earlier this season for the Dodgers before heading over to the Rangers, where he didn’t end up getting a call back to the majors. The 29-year-old righty should be able to latch on somewhere as emergency organizational relief depth. He’s made 114 appearances in the big leagues since 2020.
Rangers signed RHP Nabil Crismatt to a minor league contract.
Crismatt had a 2.57 ERA over seven innings in two stints with the Dodgers this season. He’ll probably join the Rangers as a middle reliever at some point within the next few weeks.
