Dodgers placed RHP Michael Grove on the 60-day injured list.
It’s merely a procedural move after Grove underwent season-ending shoulder surgery earlier this month. The 28-year-old righty should be a full-go by 2026.
RHP Michael Grove underwent season-ending shoulder surgery.
Grove was seen with his arm in a sling in the Dodgers clubhouse this morning. He joins a long list of Dodgers pitchers projected to start the season on the injured list, though unfortunately he won’t be returning this year. Grove was a member of the Dodgers’ bullpen last year, but was taken off the playoff roster due to injury.
Dodgers removed RHP Michael Grove from the ALDS roster with an apparent injury, according to Fabian Ardaya of the Athletic.
It’s unclear what injury Grove has. The Dodgers will still carry 13 pitchers for the rest of this series as Ben Casparius has been added to the roster.
Michael Grove and Edgardo Henriquez are on the Dodgers’ roster for the NLDS against the Padres.
The Dodgers are carrying 13 pitches, so Grove gets a spot despite finishing the year in the minors. Henriquez, 22, also makes the team after only three career major league relief appearances. Both were picked over Joe Kelly, who allowed one run in four innings after coming off the IL last month. With just 13 hitters on the roster, Kevin Kiermaier loses out.
