2025 Player Outlook
Turang was a fantasy star in 2024, largely due to his 50 stolen bases, which was third-most in all of baseball. Beyond the stolen bases, he cut his strikeout rate down from 2024 while maintaining an 8+ percent walk rate and upping his contact rate to 87.9 percent! He’ll be the everyday second baseman for the Brewers in 2025, and while his quality of contact metrics may be a bit underwhelming, he made enough improvements at the dish to replicate his 2024 season. He’s a near-lock for 35+ stolen bases in 2025, with upside of hitting above .260 and reaching double-digit home runs. Second base isn’t exactly the strongest position in fantasy baseball, but Turang is a worthwhile investment.
Player News
Brice Turang went 4-for-4 with a run scored, one RBI, and a walk against the Giants on Tuesday.
Turang had an excellent day at the plate, reaching in all five plate appearances. Though he’d score just once and drive in one run in Milwaukee’s 11-run game. Still, four more hits has the 25-year-old second baseman hitting .337/.375/442 with three homers, 24 runs scored, and eight steals across 105 plate appearances.
Brice Turang finished 2-for-3 with a walk, three steals and three runs scored Sunday against the A’s.
The Brewers ran wild on the A’s today, and Turang, who had 50 steals last season, upped his 2025 total from five to eight. Seemingly a totally new player, Turang’s average exit velocity is up over five mph this year. He is batting .322 with a 49% hard-hit rate, compared to .254 with a 29% hard-hit rate last season.
Bryce Turang went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in a win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.
Brice Turang went 2-for-5 with an RBI on Wednesday in a win over the Rockies.
Turang, who divulged to reporters that he’s been wearing a pair of former Brewers superstar Ryan Braun’s gloves from his 2011 NL MVP campaign, extended his season-opening hitting streak to 12 consecutive games with a run-scoring single against Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela in the third inning. He eventually came around to score on Jackson Chourio’s two-run double later in the frame. He got on-base three times and scored three runs in the one-sided affair at Coors Field. He’s off to a phenomenal start this season, hitting .327 (16-for-49) with three homers and two steals through 12 games.
