2025 Player Outlook
Larnach swatted 15 home runs with a .259 average and .772 OPS in 112 games last season, and his xSLG and average exit velocity were in the 80th and 90th percentile respectively. He only had 23 plate appearances against lefties last season, so it won't be much of a surprise when he will sit against southpaws again in 2025. He'll be a platoon guy, but he'll be on the larger side of it, and likely hit right in the heart of the order against right-handed pitching. He makes a lot of hard contact, and he posted career bests in zone contact rate and whiff rate last season. There's 20+ homer potential with Larnach, but to do that, he simply cannot replicate last year's 26.9 percent fly ball rate (36+ percent in '22 and '23). Again, he's a platoon player, but he has enough pop and excellence against RHP to project 18-22 home runs in 2025.

Trevor Larnach went 2-for-4 with a homer, double, walk and four RBI on Friday, leading the Twins in an 11-4 rout of the Angels.
Larnach smacked a run-scoring double off of Kyle Hendricks in the third inning that extended the Angels’ early lead to 3-1. He then clubbed a 409-foot (110.6 mph EV) three-run homer off of Carl Edwards Jr. in the fourth inning that made it a 9-1 ballgame. After going his first 19 games of the season without a home run, Larnach has now slugged four in his last seven contests. On the season, he’s slashing .224/.330/.388 with four homers and 13 RBI.
Trevor Larnach went 1-for-3 and blasted a two-run homer on Tuesday night, powering the Twins to a 4-2 victory over the visiting White Sox.
Larnach led off the second inning with a walk, advanced on an error and scored the Twins’ first run on an RBI single by Ty France. He then victimized right-hander Mike Vasil for a 434-foot (106.4 mph EV) two-run shot in the eighth inning that increased the Twins’ lead to 4-1 and proved to be the difference in the ballgame. His bat has started to show signs of life over the past few games, though he’s still slashing just .200/.307/.293 to go along with a pair of homers and seven RBI.
Trevor Larnach went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Friday against the Braves.
Larnach sent his home run off Bryce Elder into orbit. He attacked a changeup that sat in the heart of the zone like it was on a tee and blasted 407 feet and 111.8 mph. It’s been a struggle for Larnach to start the season, but he’s been afforded some extra time to get himself going since Matt Wallner is out with a hamstring strain.
Trevor Larnach went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored against the Cardinals on Saturday.
It was a quiet day for the Minnesota offense, as Larnach had one of only three hits the team could manage against Erick Fedde and the Cardinals. The 28-year-old outfielder singled to start the second inning and collected his first stolen base of the season before scoring on a double by Willi Castro. The steal is a nice bonus for fantasy managers after Larnach stole just four bases all last season.
