Alec Bohm has been dropped to the seventh spot in the Phillies’ lineup for Thursday evening’s showdown against the Braves.
The slumping 28-year-old third baseman is slashing a woeful .178/.196/.200 with zero homers, three RBI and a 10/1 K/BB ratio through his first 10 games on the season, so it’s understandable why manager Rob Thomson would try to shake things up in his lineup. Nick Castellanos will take his place in the cleanup spot against right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach on Thursday.
