2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Canario carries some prospect pedigree, and he's put forth some pretty notable seasons in the minors. In 36 games last year at Triple-A, he posted a .276 average and .866 OPS with eight home runs. Back in 2022, in 81 games at Double-A, he posted an .881 OPS with 24 home runs and 17 stolen bases.
2024 Outlook: He doesn't have a clear role to begin the year in the Cubs starting nine, so he likely finds himself as the team's fourth outfielder. If he were to get playing time, he's a rather toolsy prospect, and there's no questioning the raw power. However, there are significant questions about his quantity of contact, and if he can consistently make enough contact at the MLB level to let his power shine.
