Adolis García hit a two-run homer in a win for the Rangers on Wednesday over the Rockies.
Adolis García went 3-for-3 with a sac fly and a walk as the Rangers topped the Red Sox 6-1 on Tuesday.
All three hits were singles. The Rangers totaled 16 hits in the game, 14 singles and two doubles. The three-hit game is García’s first since March 28, and it raised his average to .236.
Adolis García went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI on Tuesday night in a lopsided victory over the Athletics.
The slumping slugger was moved down to the seventh spot in the Rangers’ lineup for the second straight night on Tuesday and perhaps it has helped to warm his bat up. García smacked a bases-clearing three-run double in the sixth inning that extended the Rangers’ lead to 8-0 then scored on Wyatt Langford’s three-run double later in the inning. He also singled and scored in the eighth inning. With the two-hit attack, the 32-year-old outfielder is now hitting .214/.274/.398 to go along with four homers, 14 RBI and four stolen bases on the year.
Adolis García is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Giants.
It’s García’s first day off this season after making 26 consecutive starts in right field. The 32-year-old is hitting just .209/.270/.407 with four homers, 11 RBI and four steals through 100 plate appearances. It’ll be versatile Josh Smith moving over to right field on Saturday afternoon in his place.
