2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Across a career high 135 games for the Giants in 2023, Wade Jr. slashed .256/.373/.417 with 17 home runs, 64 runs scored, and 45 RBI. His 14.6 percent walk rate was a massive boost for fantasy managers whose leagues value OBP, and his hard-hit rate was right around his career average. While most of his power came against right-handed pitching, he held his own against lefties last year (.269/.351/.358), which should keep him out of a platoon at first base this season. He has great feel for the strike zone, and his chase rate last year was in the 96th percentile.
2024 Outlook: There's nothing Wade Jr. did in 2023 that he couldn't repeat in 2024, though he may not have a high ceiling or prototypical power numbers from a corner infielder. There are some questions with the San Francisco offense as a whole, but Wade Jr. is poised to post a similar campaign to his 2023 season, making him a solid bench bat to target in the later rounds of drafts.
