Marsh will hit second and play center field to begin his rehab assignment. The 27-year-old will likely need a few games in the minors, and assuming there’s no setback, he could be back in the Phillies’ lineup by the end of April or the very beginning of May.

Marsh ran the bases on Tuesday without any issues and should be ready to get into minor league games later this week. The 27-year-old outfielder, who has been mired in a season-long slump at the plate, hit the injured list over the weekend with a right hamstring strain.

It’s not a bad idea for Marsh to spend some extra time away from the diamond right now since he’s been ice-cold at the dish this season, hitting .095 (4-for-42) with one homer and five RBI in 17 games. It’ll be Johan Rojas taking over as Philadelphia’s primary center field in his absence.

Marsh will miss his third straight contest due to an ongoing right knee issue. The 27-year-old outfielder is off to an abysmal start this season, batting .095 (4-for-42) with one homer and five RBI in 17 games. It’ll be Johan Rojas in center field on Saturday afternoon.
