2025 Player Outlook
If you believe the projections you should be happy with this discount on Acuna despite the fact that he could miss almost a month to start the season, but I have a hard time believing the projections. Coming off his second ACL surgery I don't expect him to immediately be back to the greatness we saw in 2023; I expect it to look more like the 119 games we saw in 2022 when he returned from his first ACL surgery. The upside is still huge but understand there is risk not just in the health, but it could also take him time to get back to full Acuna greatness.

Ronald Acuña Jr. (knee) has been cleared to ramp up baseball activities and progress towards a minor league rehab assignment.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution’s Justin Toscano adds that Acuña remains without an official return timetable, but seems on scheduled to return at some point in the next month, as originally expected. It’s a significant development for fantasy managers that the superstar outfielder appears on track to make his season debut at some point in mid-May.
Ronald Acuña Jr. (knee) is set to meet with his team of doctors early next week with the expectation that he’ll be cleared for lateral movement, quick start/stop running and outfield work.
The Braves are hopeful that after that appointment they should have a better grasp on a timeline for when their superstar outfielder could be ready to begin a minor league rehab assignment. It still sounds like he’s at least a month away from potentially joining the Braves in the best case scenario.
Ronald Acuña Jr. (knee) will meet with doctors in Los Angeles in the coming days.
Acuña Jr. will meet with those doctors in hopes of getting clearance to start a running program. The 27-year-old could then begin a rehab assignment after getting through that program, but there’s still no timetable for when the former MVP will return. The earliest realistic point is the middle of May, but fantasy managers will have to remain patient
Braves placed OF Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list.
Nothing has changed regarding Acuña’s potential return timeline as the expectation remains that he’ll be ready to make his season debut at some point in late April or early May, barring any setbacks. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar didn’t play in any Grapefruit League contests this spring and will need several weeks of game action to get back up to speed before returning to Atlanta’s lineup.
