The Diamondbacks have always placed a great value on defense in the outfield, so Pache should fit right in with his new ballclub. He had a miserable season offensively in 2024, slashing a woeful .200/.273/.279 with just one homer, 16 RBI and a 64/17 K/BB ratio over 183 plate appearances between the Phillies, Marlins and Orioles. He could potentially see time with the D’Backs as a reserve outfielder, but he can be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Pache was designated for assignment and outrighted off the Marlins’ roster just before the end of the year, and the former top prospect will be looking for yet another new home in the offseason. Devers has been in the Miami organization since the Giancarlo Stanton trade, but never was able to make a big impact. Emanuel should see interest for teams looking for pitching depth this spring.

Pache never played a game with the Orioles. He’s out of minor league options so he’ll go right on the Marlins active roster. Miami has multiple vacancies on its 40-man roster so only a corresponding 26-man roster move is necessary. Pache hit .202 with a .557 OPS and nine RBI with the Phillies this year.

The Orioles just acquired Pache and Seranthony Dominguez in a trade for Austin Hays less than a week ago. However, they also traded for Austin Slater on Tuesday, which made Pache expendable. The 25-year-old will now get a chance to be claimed by other teams after hitting .202 with a .557 OPS and nine RBI for the Phillies this year.
