2025 Player Outlook
Tatis Jr. saw his power numbers trend in the right direction in 2024 after he experienced a dramatic decline in power during the 2023 campaign. He improved his ISO 25 points to .216 in 2024 and launched 21 homers in 438 plate appearances, but it still fell well short of the prodigious power he flashed during his first three seasons when he sported an ISO around .300. If the power continues to trend towards his peak form, Tatis Jr. has a chance to be the top outfielder in fantasy.

Fernando Tatis Jr. hit his first career walkoff homer against Kenley Jansen in the bottom of the ninth as the Padres beat the Angels 6-4 on Tuesday.
The 430-foot homer, which also played Elias Díaz, was Tatis’s 11th of the season. Tatis also walked and scored in the Padres’ two-run rally that tied the game in the eighth. His 11th homer puts him in a tie for eighth in the majors. He’s also eighth with his .963 OPS.
Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo homer in a loss to the Angels on Monday.
Tatis Jr. joined the double-digit homer club with a solo blast in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old has been spectacular in 2025 with the aforementioned homers, eight stolen bases, and .942 OPS over the first 39 games of his campaign.
Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a three-run homer and scored three runs on Saturday, leading the Padres to a 21-0 blowout victory over the Padres.
The Padres were able to hit five homers and ostensibly scored three touchdowns in an absolute trouncing of the Rockies. Tatis’ blast off reliever Juan Mejia gave San Diego a 19-0 lead in the fifth inning at the time. It also gave him nine homers on the season, and that hit plus a single increased his slash to .322/.391/.559. Fantasy managers have to be thrilled with the production of Tatis over the first quarter of the season. Thrilled might be an understatement.
Fernando Tatis Jr. was ejected from Monday’s game against the Yankees for arguing balls and strikes.
Tatis was tossed from Monday’s rain-soaked affair at Yankee Stadium in the seventh inning after striking out for the third time in the contest following a questionable called strike earlier in the at-bat that appeared to be well below the zone. Padres manager Mike Shidlt was also thrown out after expressing his displeasure with the call. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar finished the night 0-for-4 at the dish. We’re assuming he’ll use this as motivation for the remainder of the series in New York.
