Rangers released LHP Joe Palumbo.
Palumbo last appeared in the majors with the Rangers when he made nine relief appearances between the 2019 and 2020 seasons. The 28-year-old lefty was let go earlier this week after walking 10 batters over two innings (three appearances) for Triple-A Round Rock.

Palumbo last appeared in the majors during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season and has missed the majority of the last two years due to injury. The 28-year-old southpaw is healthy this spring and will compete for a spot in the Rangers' bullpen. He'll provide some extra organizational depth in the upper minors this season.

The 27-year-old southpaw was designated for assignment by the Giants at the end of November. He threw a total of 6 2/3 innings during the 2021 season, posting a 13.50 ERA for the Rangers at Triple-A Round Rock. He adds bullpen depth for the Giants.
