Tyler O’Neill finished 0-for-4 in the shutout loss to the Nationals on Tuesday.
On another ugly night for the Orioles, O’Neill was one of a couple of guys who were more unlucky than bad. At least, he had balls in play with xBAs of .690 and .520 go for outs. O’Neill is in a 3-for-32 slump over his last nine games, though he still has right around a 110 OPS+ for the year. He’s definitely worth sticking with while he’s healthy.
Tyler O’Neill (neck) went 0-for-4 on Friday against the Reds in his return to the lineup.
O’Neill struck out three times in his return to Baltimore’s lineup following a two-game absence due to neck discomfort. It doesn’t appear that he’ll wind up needing any additional time off over the weekend.
Tyler O’Neill (neck) is hitting third and playing right field against the Reds on Friday.
O’Neill missed Wednesday and Thursday’s contests with tightness in his neck. The outfielder is back, so Ryan O’Hearn will take his usual seat against southpaws with Andrew Abbott on the bump for the Reds.
Tyler O’Neill (neck) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Guardians.
O’Neill was scratched from Wednesday’s lineup with neck discomfort, and the 29-year-old will unsurprisingly miss at least one more game with the issue. Ryan O’Hearn will be the right fielder, and Jordan Westburg will be the designated hitter in O’Neill’s absence.
