2025 Player Outlook
In 109 games with the Cubs last season, Tauchman slashed .248/.357/.366 with seven home runs, and six stolen bases. He posted a .357 or higher OBP in each of his two full seasons with the Cubs, and has shown that when given the opportunity, he can hold his own against LHP. Given the state of affairs in this ghastly White Sox lineup, Tauchman could be the team's primary leadoff hitter, giving him some appeal in deeper AL-only setups. He can run a little bit, and he gets a nice boost in OBP formats with his propensity to draw walks.

White Sox placed Mike Tauchman on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.
This seemed inevitable after Tauchman pulled his hamstring rounding third base on Wednesday night and couldn’t make it to home plate. The 34-year-old also had a hamstring strain to begin the season, so it may take a few weeks before we see him back on the field for the White Sox. The team called up Joshua Palacios in his place, but Austin Slater and Michael A. Taylor should see more playing time with Tauchman sidelined.
Mike Tauchman (hamstring) is not in the White Sox lineup on Thursday against the Guardians.
Tauchman injured his hamstring rounding third base on the final play of the game on Wednesday night, so he always seemed like a long shot to play today. The White Sox haven’t mentioned whether or not Tauchman will land on the IL, so, for now, Brooks Baldwin will play left field, Michael A Taylor will man center field, and Austin Slater will play right field.
Mike Tauchman is dealing with right hamstring tightness.
Tauchman went 3-for-4 on Wednesday in his third game back from a season-opening stint on the injured list with a right hamstring strain. It’s possible he’ll wind up missing some time, but it’s at least a positive sign that he wasn’t pulled from the contest. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
White Sox returned Mike Tauchman from the 10-day injured list.
Tauchman suffered a hamstring injury towards the end of spring training, but has made his way back after a short minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte. His fantasy value is limited to AL-Only leagues. Travis Jankowski was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
