2025 Player Outlook
Chapman is coming off his best performance since his early days in Oakland. He trimmed his strikeout rate to 24.4 percent and slugged 27 home runs while playing elite defense at the hot corner. The performance earned him a contract extension late in the season, and he should be locked in as the Giants regular third baseman for the foreseeable future.

Chapman got the Giants off to a nice start with a two-run blast off Kyle Hendricks in the first. With his two-hit attack, the 31-year-old third baseman is now hitting .239/.386/.418 with three homers, 12 RBI and two stolen bases through his first 19 games.
