Alex Bregman went 2-for-5 with three RBI on Tuesday, leading the Red Sox to a – win over the Mariners.
Bregman continues to serve as Boston’s primary catalyst this season. His third and fifth-inning doubles against Seattle starter Bryce Miller gave the Red Sox a commanding three-run lead at the time that they wouldn’t relinquish. He’s hitting .302 (29-for-96) with four homers, 19 RBI and one steal through 24 contests.
Alex Bregman went 0-for-3 with two walks and a pair of runs scored on Friday against the White Sox in his return to the lineup.
Bregman wound up missing only one game while away from the club on paternity leave. The 31-year-old third baseman is hitting .309 with four homers, 16 RBI and one steal through 20 games in his Red Sox debut.

Bregman flew back to Boston following a sublime five-hit, two-homer performance on Tuesday night against the Rays to be with his family for the birth of his second child. He’ll presumably be ready to return at some point later this week. It’ll be Nick Sogard taking his spot on the Red Sox’ active roster.
