Elias told reporters Tuesday that Eflin’s return timetable is more in the range of weeks instead of months. The 31-year-old righty hit the IL last week with a right lat strain, so this is an encouraging update. It’s possible he’ll be ready to rejoin Baltimore’s rotation at some point in May, but there isn’t an official timeline at this juncture. There should be a clearer picture once he resumes throwing.

Eflin will be out of action for at least two weeks, but it’ll likely be longer than that before he’s ready to return since he won’t throw for the next week. The right-hander will hope to be back at some point in May. Collin Selby has taken Eflin’s place on the active roster.
