Piscotty, 33, spent five years roaming the outfield for the Athletics from 2018-2022. He spent the 2023 campaign in the White Sox’ organization where he slashed an underwhelming .232/.330/.390 with six long balls and 32 RBI in 206 plate appearances at Triple-A Charlotte. He’ll need an impressive showing in Cactus League play to have a shot at cracking the Opening Day roster.

Piscotty was released last month after failing to make the Giants' season-opening roster and will get a shot with the White Sox. The 32The 32-year-old outfielder batted .190/.252/.341 with five homers and two steals across 139 plate appearances in 42 games last year for the rebuilding Athletics before being released in mid-August. He'll head to Triple-A Charlotte and might get a chance in Chicago at some point this year.
