2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Castro posted a 6-6 record with seven saves, 13 holds, and a 4.31 ERA last year with Arizona. The majority of his saves came in the first half of the season, with his last recorded save in the regular season coming on June 12. Compared to years past, his strikeout rate was down, as was his ground ball rate, but perhaps most notably, his 74.7 percent contact rate was the highest mark he's allowed since 2018.
2024 Outlook: I would expect him to be one of the top setup men for Arizona this season, though if something were to happen to Paul Sewald, Kevin Ginkel should get the first crack at being the team's ninth inning man. Castro can be avoided in all formats in 2024.
