Liberatore is currently a free agent after being released by the Dodgers earlier this month. He expects to be fully recovered and with a new organization prior to spring training. Across 17 appearances with Los Angeles in 2018, he posted a 2.77 ERA and 1.38 WHIP.

Liberatore was released by the organization after being designated for assignment last week. He logged a 2.77 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 12:8 K:BB across 13 innings of relief for Los Angeles this year. He will look to latch on with another club before the end of the 2018 campaign.

Liberatore was cast off the 40-man roster in order to make room for the recently acquired Ryan Madson, who was traded to the Dodgers from Washington on Friday. In 17 appearances with the big-league team this year, Liberatore has posted a 2.77 ERA and 1.38 WHIP but hasn't pitched for the Dodgers since June. He will be subject to waivers, but is set to remain with Triple-A Oklahoma City if he goes unclaimed.
Liberatore was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.
Liberatore was the casualty to make room for the return of Clayton Kershaw (back). In 13 innings for the Dodgers this season, Liberatore has a 2.77 ERA, though his 22.2 percent strikeout rate is mediocre and his 14.8 percent walk rate is poor, suggesting that he was getting fairly lucky.
