Brett Anderson allowed one hit with no walks and no strikeouts over one scoreless inning against the Dodgers on Sunday.
Anderson got the start for the Brewers for what might have been his last appearance for Milwaukee. He allowed one hit over one inning on just eight pitches. In typical Anderson fashion, he generated a groundout before giving up a single and inducing a ground ball double play. The 33-year-old left-hander ends the season with a 4.22 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 58 strikeouts over 96 innings.
Brett Anderson yielded two earned runs over five innings in a no-decision Thursday against the Cardinals.
Milwaukee wound up falling 4-3 in the matinee game at Busch Stadium, with the official loss going to reliever Miguel Sanchez. Anderson issued a walk and gave up three hits, including a third-inning homer to Dylan Carlson. It's unclear whether the veteran left-hander will be carried on the Brewers' roster for the best-of-five NLDS.
Brett Anderson allowed six runs -- two earned -- over 1 2/3 innings to take the loss on Wednesday as the Brewers fell to the Cardinals.
Anderson was only charged with two of the six runs due to a fielding error by Eduardo Escobar in the second inning, but the veteran certainly earned the loss in this contest. The Brewers southpaw generated a 20 percent CSW overall and a 13 percent mark on his changeup. Anderson falls to 4-9 this season with a 4.30 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 90 frames and will take on the Cardinals once more next week.
Brewers activated LHP Brett Anderson from the 10-day injured list.
The veteran southpaw has been sidelined since September 2 with a bruised shoulder and returns to a 4.18 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over 88 1/3 innings this season. Anderson will get the start on Wednesday night versus the Cardinals. Pablo Reyes was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.
