Doumit batted .197 with five home runs over 157 at-bats in 2014. He can play multiple positions so it is possible he may fetch a one-year deal this offseason. If not, he\'ll certainly get a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.

Doumit may have went yard today for his fifth home run of the year but he should not be garnering any fantasy attention. He is not the team\'s primary option behind the plate and doesn\'t produce enough now to earn a starting spot, let alone a roster spot. Leave him in the free agent pool.

The Braves were already on their way to victory, but Doumit was able to add some extra insurance. The former full-time catcher is batting just .198 this season and has very little fantasy value outside of deep NL-Only leagues.

Doumit could be in line for some additional playing time should Evan Gattis (ribs) land on the DL, but for now Gattis is expected to avoid that. Regardless, you could do better than Doumit in any type of fantasy league.
