After an awful spring training, Medica is looking for a new home after being released by the Marlins. He hit just .167 during spring training.

Medica has power potential, but is a batting average drain. He did not fare well this spring, hitting just .167 in 12 AB, and will head to Triple-A most likely to work on his bat control.

Medica appeared in 101 games for the Padres last season, hitting .233 with 31 runs, nine home runs, 27 RBI and six stolen bases. He will start the year in Triple-A with an invite to spring training.

Expect Medica to begin the 2016 season in the minors with the Marlins signing signing Chris Johnson last week. He has some limited power but will likely struggle to return to the major leagues.
