Yankees transferred GIancarlo Stanton to the 60-day injured list.
Stanton’s move to the 60-day IL clears room for Bryan De La Cruz after De La Cruz was claimed off waivers from Atlanta. Stanton’s timeline remains unclear, but the slugger is attempting to work his way back to the field without undergoing surgery on his elbows.
