Brewers sent LHP Alex Claudio outright to Triple-A Nashville.
Claudio went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment over the weekend. The 31-year-old southpaw reliever made just one appearance for the Brewers and will remain with the organization as extra relief depth.

Claudio has been removed from Milwaukee's 40-man roster to make room for infielder Andruw Monasterio to be added ahead of Saturday's game against the Giants. The 31-year-old lefty has made only one relief appearance this season for the Brewers, but should garner some interest on waivers given his extensive track record.
