Twins signed OF Wynton Bernard to a minor league contract.
The 33-year-old outfielder opted out of his minor league deal with the White Sox after slashing .306/.328/.446 with three homers, 14 RBI and 11 stolen bases over 125 plate appearances at Triple-A Charlotte. He’ll add depth in the outfield at Triple-A St. Paul for the Twins.

A long-time minor leaguer, Bernard finally made his big league debut during the 2022 season and slashed .286/.286/.310 with three RBI and three stolen bases in 42 plate appearances with the Rockies. He then signed with the Blue Jays and played 60 games in Triple-A before getting released in June and returning to the Rockies. He’ll now get a chance to make his mark on a reeling White Sox organization, but it’s hard to bank on him being anything other than minor league depth.

The 33-year-old outfielder spent last year at the Triple-A level between Colorado and Toronto, posting an .817 IPS with 11 homers and 41 stolen bases across 571 plate appearances in 126 games.
