The 33-year-old outfielder opted out of his minor league deal with the White Sox after slashing .306/.328/.446 with three homers, 14 RBI and 11 stolen bases over 125 plate appearances at Triple-A Charlotte. He’ll add depth in the outfield at Triple-A St. Paul for the Twins.

A long-time minor leaguer, Bernard finally made his big league debut during the 2022 season and slashed .286/.286/.310 with three RBI and three stolen bases in 42 plate appearances with the Rockies. He then signed with the Blue Jays and played 60 games in Triple-A before getting released in June and returning to the Rockies. He’ll now get a chance to make his mark on a reeling White Sox organization, but it’s hard to bank on him being anything other than minor league depth.

A longtime minor league journeyman, Bernard finally made it to the big leagues during the 2022 campaign, getting into 12 contests for the Rockies. The 33-year-old outfielder spent last year at the Triple-A level between Colorado and Toronto, posting an .817 IPS with 11 homers and 41 stolen bases across 571 plate appearances in 126 games.

A longtime minor league journeyman, Bernard got into 12 contests last year as a 31-year-old rookie. He signed with the Blue Jays on a minor league pact back in January and didn’t end up making it to Toronto. He’s back with Colorado to serve as emergency outfield depth.
