The Orioles will be Deduno's fifth organization and there is no reason to believe that he will look any better with the O's than he had during his time with the Twins or the Astros. He's got an average strikeout rate , a diminishing ground ball rate and he allows quite a number of runs to cross home plate. There is little to no fantasy value to be had here.

Deduno had a horrendous season with the Astros as he posted an 0-1 record in nine games with a 6.86 ERA, a 1.57 WHIP and 17 strikeouts in 21 innings. The right-handed pitcher will end up in the Astros' farm system unless another team decides to place a claim on him while he is on waivers.

Deduno had a rough 2015 year but is looking healthy heading into 2016. He is not a lock for the Astros team and needs to impress during the spring.

Deduno was already going to the miss the rest of the season following surgery for a torn labrum, however moving him to the 60-day DL clears a spot on the 40-man roster. Houston needs that spot for recently acquired reliever Oliver Perez.
