Inciarte passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment last week and will remain with the Mets as organizational outfield depth. The 31-year-old veteran wound up appearing in 11 games for New York during his brief stint in the majors.

Inciarte was 1-for-8 during his short stay on the Mets' active major league roster.

Inciarte hasn't appeared in a major league game since last summer and was batting just .244/.323/.387 in 133 plate appearances this year between the Triple-A affiliates of the Yankees and Mets. He's not fantasy relevant.

Inciarte will remain in New York after being released by the Yankees last week. The 31-year-old outfielder hasn't hit much at the major or minor league level the last couple years, sporting a .252/.336/.408 line in 2022 at the Triple-A level.
