Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports that Freddy Galvis has signed a two-year contract with the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball.
Heyman says that Galvis will make $7.4 million plus incentives, so you can understand why he made the decision to head overseas. The 32-year-old shortstop slashed .242/.302/.407 with 14 long balls and 40 RBI in 394 plate appearances with the Orioles and Phillies during the 2021 season.

Galvis reached on an infield single with one out in the fifth inning, then came around to score the Phillies second run on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Bryce Harper.
