2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Blackmon missed over two months with a hand fracture and despite hand injuries usually impacting a hitter even after their return, Blackmon showed no ill effects. Prior to his injury, he slashed .265/.347/.422, and after the injury, he slashed .297/.386/.466! Playing at Coors Field is helping his overall numbers, because as the veteran gets older and his quality of contact continues to diminish, his road numbers are tough to look at. Last year, he hit just .237 with a .329 SLG and .092 ISO on the road.
2024 Outlook: Blackmon continues to post healthy contact rates, but Coors Field plays up the quality of his contact (31.5 percent hard hit rate, 86.4 mph AVG EV). Blackmon is free in drafts, so he's a low-risk selection in the last few rounds of your draft, but he's no longer the fantasy asset he used to be, and his days of stealing bases are over with. Maybe he can squeak out at a .270 average and 10 HR, which would be serviceable as a depth player in NL-only formats.
