Alfredo Simon has become a free agent.
This was expected after his 2016 season ended due to shoulder surgery. He posted a 9.36 ERA and 2.05 WHIP in 2016, so he will have to show that he has recovered his skill set to get much of a offer in free agency this winter.
Alfredo Simon (shoulder) will miss the remainder of the season.
Simon suffered a setback in his shoulder in the past couple of days, and as a result, he will be sidelined for the rest of the year. He's battled a number of different shoulder problems this season, so his injury prognosis shouldn't be a surprise. He ended up making 15 appearances with the Reds and posted a putrid 9.36 ERA.
Reds placed RHP Alfredo Simon (right trapezius) on 15-day disabled list.
Simon has been absolutely atrocious this season and has no impact on any fantasy format.
Alfredo Simon is dealing with a shoulder issue. He has received medication, but he feels no improvement.
Simon was moved to the bullpen earlier in the week due to his struggles in the rotation. He's got a 9.45 ERA in 53.1 innings this season, so maybe this explains some of his ineffectiveness. He shouldn't be owned anywhere, and it seems like a trip to the disabled list is an inevitability at this point.
