Ruben Tejada has signed with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League.
Tejada last appeared in the majors in 2019 when he got into six games for the Mets. He didn't play professionally last season after splitting the 2021 campaign at the Triple-A level between the White Sox and Phillies.
White Sox signed INF Ruben Tejada to a minor league contract.
Tejada was recently cut loose by the Phillies after batting .231/.341/.262 at the Triple-A level. This is just a depth addition for the White Sox.
