2025 Player Outlook
Betts experienced a power decline last season and it wasn't necessarily due to the fractured hand, as he actually had a higher ISO and slugging percentage after the injury. Even if the power doesn't return, Betts is still a top fantasy asset due to his ability to contribute all across the stat sheet. He posted elite strikeout and walk numbers, while leading off for the WS Champion Dodgers. He will come with IF positional eligibility as well.
Player News
Mookie Betts went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored on Friday against the Braves.
Betts’ sixth inning blast was both the last run the Dodgers would score and the last one they would need as they clung to a 2-1 lead through the late innings and a lengthy rain delay. He turned on a fastball from Grant Holmes and now has eight hits and nine RBI over his last five games. This could be the beginning of a serious hot streak for Betts.
Mookie Betts knocked in four runs with a triple and a single in the Dodgers’ 12-7 defeat of the Marlins on Wednesday.
Jesús Sánchez got turned around in center field on the triple, which really ought to have been an out. Still, the triple did travel 389 feet, which is the second farthest Betts has hit a ball this year. It was Betts’ second extra-base hit in two weeks and eighth of the year. At .250/.339/.407 through 28 games, he’s still looking for his first hot streak this season.
Mookie Betts went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored, and a RBI on Wednesday against the Cubs.
Betts was mired in a 1-for-22 slump before finally breaking through in this game. He briefly tied this game in the fifth inning with a double off Matthew Boyd before Teoscar Hernández brought him home as the go-ahead run with a home run. Yet, the Dodgers’ bullpen promptly blew their lead. There was an inkling of concern with Betts stuck in his cold spell and not having a multi-hit game since the first week of the season, but he’s obviously not someone to worry about.
Mookie Betts scored twice and hit a two-run homer in a win over the Rockies on Monday.
